What You Need to Know Before Moving to Oakville

Oakville is one of the best places in Ontario to raise a family. Nestled against Lake Ontario, equidistance between Toronto and Hamilton, Oakville blends historic homes with modern customs builds.

Oakville is great for those needing to commute frequently but want a quiet neighbourhood setting to raise their family. Resting between the 401 and Lake Ontario, Oakville commuters can find themselves living within 5 – 10 minutes of the 401, 403 and/or the QEW.

There is a downtown, uptown and midtown core in Oakville. The downtown core is located on Lakeshore just north of Heritage Oakville. The downtown core is full of shops, salons, cafes, restaurants and (weather depending) out door patios. The midtown core located just off of the Trafalgar exit of the 403 is home to Oakville Place, Oakville’s shopping mall which is home to a Sephora, Bay, LL Bean and much more! The uptown core at Dundas is where your can find big box stores at the Oakville Smart Centre as well as stores such as a Canadian Superstore and Canadian tire.

Oakville has a low crime rate which makes it a safe place to raise a family. It’s also full of parks and walking trails to explore year rouund.
